I will be blunt... there is no bath tub. And when we were doing our research, trying to find a place to stay in Bangkok, most of the places, if not all of them, did not have a tub. In fact, most of them had a spout coming out of the wall of the bathroom and a drain in the floor. So the whole bathroom became the shower.
There has got to be tubs somewhere... maybe in hotels that are familiar around the world like the Sheraton or something. Also, I was talking to my American friend who has been living here for 4 years. We were talking about my laundry situation and she joked and said, "There has got to be a better way to do laundry than for you to have to wash your clothes in your tub for 3 months." So if tubs are not strange to her, than they have to be here somewhere.
Anyway, Beckham my 18 month old is terrified of taking a bath. It is so bad, I could compare his baths to washing a cat. There is thrashing, screaming, a little heart beating super fast out of pure terror, and lots of other stuff. Then I came across this beautiful thing:

It's a hat that keeps water out of baby's faces! (And older brothers too!) Check it out here! I finally got Beckham to a point that he enjoyed baths as long as he had is hat on. And then we came to Thailand... and it all happened again. So in order to make it all work, my husband gets in the shower wearing clothes and holds Beckham while using the shower head to clean him. Luckily it is one of those detachable shower heads with the hose! So poor Beckham still screams hysterically but at least he knows he is loved and is not being shoved back into the shower soaking wet desperately trying to escape the shower of water threatening to get on his face.
