Swim Diapers

DON'T FORGET TO PACK SWIM DIAPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought that swim diapers was a world wide thing... you would think everywhere not a third world country would find it necessary to keep poop out of the pool.  Apparently this is not the case.  As I was googling this subject, it looks there are lots of people that ended up in the same position as me... desperately trying to find diapers to no avail.  Some people answering the posts were like, "What's a swim diaper?"  Or "Why don't you just scoop the poop out when you see it?"

My thoughts were to save on luggage space and buy them here... I can't find them anywhere!  I've been looking for the past month (everywhere I go, I take a couple extra minutes to specifically look for swim diapers).  I have google searched for them.  It would be too expensive to have Amazon ship them too me.

Luckily, I have American friends that live out here.  They told me to look for a baby boutique and you can get a cloth swim diaper there and apparently a place called "Swim Dolphins" in Bangkok sells the disposable kind.  I can't find this place but I think it might also be a swimming pool.

I've googled baby boutiques in Bangkok and they don't really come up.  Luckily, we were walking around one day and we walked past a BABY BOUTIQUE!!!
The baby boutique we found... don't ask where we were because I have no idea. ☺

I didn't even notice it but them my husband was like, "Should we look in there for a swim diaper?"  Ummm.... YES!!!  We went inside this sweet boutique with all the "crunchy" mom essentials.  And they had cloth diapers!  You can use a regular pocket cloth diaper as a swim diaper, just take out all the inserts (the padding)  so that it is just the plastic layer (PUL) and and the soft fabric layer that is sewn together.  This will keep the poop in.  Make sure you wash as directed on the label or you will ruin it.

Yes they had some cloth diapers but it cost $30 for 1!  That is expensive even for cloth diapers.  But I was desperate so I got it anyways.

SO LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE AND BRING SWIMDIAPERS!!!!!!!!
