Asleep again... I didn't notice it but that water bottle on his lap was open and dripped all over him and got him soaked. So after we took off his shirt in the restaurant to dry a little and their was a European couple that was pretty upset that we had brought kids to Thailand. I've noticed we get a lot of "looks" from tourists. Maybe most of them just don't like kids... not necessarily because we brought our kids to Thailand.
The reclining, gold Buddha is 15 meters high and 43 meters long.
The walls inside the temple.
Buddha's feet. The bottom is made with mother of pearl.
There are 108 bronze bowls in the corridor indicating the 108 auspicious characters of Buddha. People drop coins in these bowls as it is believed to bring good fortune, and to help the monks maintain the wat (Thai word for temple).
Will wanted to put coins in the bowls. So you pay 20 baht for a bowl full of coins. And you are supposed to walk and put a coin in each one. Midway, I think he got bored with it and dumped them all in one bowl. ☺
A friendly Thai visitor offered to take our picture for us. ☺ Beckham was not happy about getting his picture taken...
The tops of most of the buildings here are Wat Pho glittered with gold. They are so pretty!
